Last Day!!
I am sitting here at Middle School with my desk cleared out and my ability to socialize turned off, wishing I could just go. The big move is tomorrow and I somehow feel all this bullshit I have to do at the end here is pointless. What do I care, in the end, if these people think I am an ass? They probably already do anyway. The Japanese wrote the book on being indirect, so its not like I would ever know anyway. If they are going to think I am a rude gaijin, I might as well have some say in it!
But I can’t bring myself to just blow everything off. This is why I find myself in the ridiculous situation of having to return here on Monday after I have moved and after my parents have arrived to attend a farewell ceremony.
If nothing else can be said of Japanese people in general (and that is totally not true) they sure do love their ceremonies. I am trying not to get to offended by yet another example of their inefficiency.

Inefficient Japanese? Most people would consider that a misnomer. in contrast to my life in the US, if something goes wrong, someone here in Japan will get to it. The Japanese may be distant and incomprehensible but inefficient they are not. Perhaps you just never understood your surroundings well….
