Let me start by saying that I have been studying Japanese since 2001. <p>I took three years of formal study in University. I took language classes as well as classes in Japanese culture, politics, economics, religion and linguistics. <br>I lived in Japan from March 2005 until April of 2007. While there I taught English in Elementary and Junior High School. I also gave private classes to all levels, from 1 year olds to adults. <br>Teaching in public schools in Japan required me to speak in Japanese for most of the day to communicate with students and other teachers, who usually did not speak much English. <br>Living in Japan for two years exposed me to daily life in Japanese society where I had to become fluent in areas such as grocery shopping, travelling, paying bills and taxes not to mention reading Kanji on a daily basis. <p>Please feel free to <a href="mailto:dana.spencer@gmail.com">contact me</a> if you want to further discuss my qualifications. </div> </td> </tr> </table></center> </td> </tr> <td valign="top"><img src="entry_bottom.jpg" width="500" height="60" border="0"></td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>
